If you hold a UK DVLA driving licence, when you hire from us you are now required to generate a driver share code to share your driver record. This is to replace your counterpart driving licence which became invalid in June 2015.
Start by opening the DVLA Gov Page: https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence
Click on 'Start now' and this will take you to a page where you are required to log in using your driving licence number, NI number and registered postcode.
Once you have logged in click on the fourth menu option titled 'Share your licence information'.
You will then need to click on 'Create a code'. This will generate the code for you which is made up of 8 random characters which are also upper and lower case.
Due to the code being case sensitive, we would recommend either taking a photo/screenshot of this page or printing out this code by clicking 'View, print or save your licence information.
This code is valid for 21 days but can only be used once during this period.
