Additional Extras Anyone?

Extras you can add to your rental and why you may need them.

1. Additional Drivers

Adding additional drivers means you can share the driving on a long journey. It is advised to rest for 15 minutes every 2 hours. Sharing the driving would keep you on the road for longer whilst extending the rest time for each driver. It’s also important to consider the what ifs; an additional driver means there is always a backup driver.

2. Baby and Booster Seats

If you are carrying children in the car then by law, they are required to travel in a baby or booster seat. To keep up to date with the current laws visit here https://www.rac.co.uk/drive/advice/road-safety/car-seat-laws/. If you do not have your own, then we can supply these for you.

3. Satellite Navigation

Adding a gps to your rental keeps you going in the right direction for the quickest journey. Maybe this is your first time in the UK, or it is the first time you are going to your destination. Looking on a map for a rough idea of where you are going works, but it doesn’t take you all the way to the doorstep like our gps units do.

4. Excess Reduction

It is an unfortunate fact that accidents happen beyond our control. Whilst the cost would be recoverable if a third party is to blame and you collect their details, this would otherwise be down to yourself up to the rental excess. What you can control though is the amount you are liable for if damage occurs during your rental. Excess reduction does exactly that – reduces your excess.
